One month from today I will be hanging out at O’Hare waiting on my connecting flight to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.
Still no idea what to wear. Still not 100% sure where we’re staying or our plan and slightly freaking out (things that happen when you’re a planner and letting someone else plan your trip).
But I am SO FREAKING EXCITED.
SOON.
As in, I go to New Orleans in two days.
Hells yes mother effers. I’m having the same problem… WHAT TO WEAR?

Layers help! Closed toed shoes are your best bet b/c otherwise your feet will be disgusting by the end of the weekend. Take a light rain jacket (like an anorak? do they still make those?) and some type of sling purse that you won’t have to deal with

went for new years this year and it was UNREAL. definitely don’t wear shoes you like bc bourbon street will eat them alive. the open container law helps you not to give to f’s about what you’re wearing bc all you want to do is find more daiquiris!!!

I’m going in three months, and I HAVE NO IDEA what to wear. All I know is that I’m packing light. Summer dresses and sandals I suppose. We’re staying at the Queen and Crescent. good luck!

Make sure you check the weather! I went to NOLA and assumed it would be warm and was seriously lacking in warm clothes department. And nothing too nice! The streets get disgusting.

I was there last year for it! Wear comfy flat shoes (no heels, maybe wedges) and always bring a light jacket to throw over your top for night, it gets cold. Most people are in jeans, too. :)
